Introduction


2026年CELA年会旨在提供一个高水平的交流平台,探讨风景园林学/景观学如何作为一个学科与实践领域,更好地整合思想、知识、人才与实践,以创造具有催化作用、深远意义和持久影响的成果。我们致力于促进思想的蓬勃交流,以推动学科进步,同时提升学术研究的实践价值和专业实践的理论深度。本次会议将重点探讨教育工作者、学者和从业者在应对环境、经济和社会挑战时所扮演的演进角色,并深入剖析如何通过加强跨机构、跨学科和跨领域的联结,有效支持风景园林学/景观学领域的学术活动。


The 2026 CELA Conference provides a platform to explore how landscape architecture as a discipline and area of practice can better integrate ideas, knowledge, people, and practices to create catalytic, meaningful, and enduring outcomes. Our objective is to cultivate a vibrant exchange of ideas that advances the discipline and elevates both the practical impact of scholarly efforts and the theoretical foundations of professional practice. The conference offers opportunities to highlight the evolving roles of educators, scholars, and practitioners in addressing environmental, economic, and social challenges, and how stronger connections across institutions, disciplines, and sectors can support the scholarly activities of the landscape architecture discipline.

Conference Theme: Catalyzing Connections: Integrating Strategies, Knowledge, And Action With Communities In Landscape Architecture

Overview: Today’s challenges and solutions in the landscape architecture discipline demand new ways of connecting knowledge, people, and practice while merging traditional methods and tools with innovative practices across ecological, cultural, social, economic, and technological dimensions. The 2026 CELA Conference invites landscape architecture educators, researchers, scholars, and professional practitioners to explore how deeper collaborations can drive catalytic transformation in our discipline by integrating research, scholarship, education, and practices with communities. Building on CELA’s ongoing efforts to create strategies, knowledge, and action items to bridge research and practice, this year’s conference theme emphasizes not only connection but meaningful synthesis of ideas, approaches, and perspectives that lead to new methods, models, opportunities, and outcomes for the future of education, scholarship, and leadership.

提交要求 Submission Restrictions


以第一作者身份提交摘要不超过两篇。超出将被系统自动撤回。合著投稿数量没有限制。

鼓励学生投稿。博士研究生可以以独立作者身份提交。其他学生须与导师共同署名提交。不符合要求的文件将被系统自动撤回。教职人员不应让其学生或助手代替提交摘要。如果学生提交,必须使用学生邮箱。


Each person is limited to no more than two first-author submissions. The platform will automatically withdraw additional first-authored submissions. There is no limit on the number of co-authored submissions.

Student Submissions are encouraged by the CELA. PhD students may submit as single authors. All other students must co-author submissions with faculty advisors. Abstracts with a non-PhD student as the first author and no faculty member as the co-author will be automatically withdrawn by the platform. Faculty shouldn’t have their students or assistants submit submissions on their behalf. If a student is submitting, they must use their student email address.

评审流程与标准 Review Process and Criteria


支持并鼓励关注所有范式的研究与创造性学术的投稿,例如定性、定量、混合方法等。由CELA专题分组主席安排双盲同行评审流程。一旦做出决定,摘要将不再进行重新评审。

摘要包含:引言;方法;结果;讨论;结论。

评审标准包括:完整性;原创性;重要性;严谨性;清晰度。

评审结果将通过电子邮件通知第一作者。评审结果包括:接受、修改后重新提交和拒绝。如果摘要未在截止日期前修改,将不被接受。部分投稿可能建议调整分组或报告形式。


The CELA supports and encourages submissions focusing on research and creative scholarship of all paradigms, e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed inquiry, etc. The CELA operates a double-blind peer-review process managed by CELA Track Chairs. We respect the work of the blind peer reviewers and track chairs regarding decisions about acceptances and presentation methods. Abstracts will not be re-reviewed once a decision has been made.

Authors are encouraged to include the necessary information below in their abstracts: Introduction; Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusion.

Submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria: Completeness; Originality; Importance; Rigor; Clarity.

The review outcomes will be communicated to the first authors by email. Possible outcomes include: Accept, Revise and resubmit, and Reject. Authors who receive the “Revise and Resubmit” decision are required to revise their abstracts based on reviewer/track chair suggestions satisfactorily by the deadline for the abstract to be included in the conference schedule. If the abstract is not revised by the deadline, it will not be accepted. In addition to the three outcomes, track chairs may recommend a change of presentation format or conference track as appropriate.



摘要出版及全文提交 Abstract Proceedings and Full Paper Submission


CELA在线出版会议论文集,收录已展示的摘要。未接受或未现场展示的摘要不予收录。

鼓励作者就已被接受并展示的摘要提交全文参与评审,可能入选Landscape Research Record(LRR)年度论文集。作者须按时提交全文,模板及指南将随录用通知发布。投稿即视为授权CELA出版,且须保证论文无重复投稿或发表。


CELA publishes the Proceedings online, which include full written abstracts that are presented at the Conference. Abstracts that are not accepted or presented at the conference (if the author did not show up and present at the scheduled session) will not be included in the final Proceedings.

For each accepted and presented abstract, the author is encouraged to submit a full paper for review and possible publication in Landscape Research Record (LRR). LRR is published annually with a collection of papers presented at the CELA annual conference of that year. For a paper to be considered for the LRR review process, authors must submit their full papers to CELA by the deadline. Paper submission templates and guidelines will be shared when notifications of abstract acceptance are out.

Submission to LRR implies the author’s permission for CELA to publish the paper in LRR. The author(s) must affirm that the paper is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and has not been previously published or presented elsewhere.
